DDA Housing Scheme 2023: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has taken a significant step to address the housing needs of the city’s residents by introducing a new and ambitious housing scheme. One-bedroom LIG (Low-Income Group) flats are projected to be priced between 13 lakhs and 22 lakhs INR, while two-bedroom flats will be available at approximately one crore INR. Similarly, three-bedroom flats are estimated to range between one crore and 1.5 crores INR.
In a notable policy change, DDA has modified its rules to accommodate those who already possess properties or plots in Delhi. Previously, property ownership in Delhi had precluded individuals from applying for DDA housing schemes. This change comes after DDA faced challenges in selling its flats in previous schemes, with only a limited number of units being sold. However, the new approach is expected to reinvigorate the housing market and create a more dynamic and responsive system.
To apply for a flat through DDA, prospective buyers will need to submit a booking fee of 50,000 INR for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) flats and one lakh INR for LIG (Low-Income Group) flats. DDA’s LIG housing scheme encompasses various areas in Delhi, including Lokpuram, Rohini, Siraspur, and Narela.
