Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom will have a theatrical release. Today, the actor confirmed the same. He took to social media to share a video of his character while announcing the date – July 27.
Pooja Entertainment’s lavishly mounted, espionage thriller Bellbottom has generated huge buzz in recent days with trade insiders speculating about its release. Today Akshay Kumar ended the speculation and announced July 27th as the release date of the film Bellbottom has always managed to lead the change from the beginning. Even last year, it hit the headlines for being the first Hindi film to be shot and completed during the pandemic with exemplary on-set COVID management.
Akshay Kumar has unveiled the release date of his upcoming spy thriller ‘Bell Bottom’. Sharing the details, the actor revealed that ‘Bell Bottom’ is slated to hit the screens next month. “I know you have patiently waited for #Bellbottom! Couldn’t be happier to finally announce the release of our film. Arriving across big screens worldwide #BellBottomOn27July,” wrote Akshay with a short teaser from the movie.
In the teaser Akshay Kumar can be seen walking past dates in a bell bottom pant-suit with a briefcase as the ‘Bell Bottom’ title track plays in the background. The camera pauses and zooms in on July 27, revealing the release date.
Directed by Ranjit M Tiwari, ‘Bell Bottom’ is a detective story set in the 1980s. Vaani Kapoor is in the lead role in this film opposite Akshay. ‘Bell Bottom’ was one of the first films to start and finish its shoot amid the pandemic. The entire cast and crew of the film had left for Scotland to shoot the film in a bio-bubble. Talking about the experience, Vaani had shared in a statement, “Shooting for ‘Bell Bottom’ was indeed a fun and enjoyable experience. The team continues filming with a huge crew despite the challenges with the ongoing pandemic. Really managed to get a smooth and safe shooting experience, for which they deserve all the credit.”
